Utthan Helps Distressed Families Grow Kitchen Gardens During COVID-19 to Improve Nutrition

During the COVID-19 lockdown, Utthan supported over 2,500 vulnerable families in Dahod, Mahisagar, and Bhavnagar districts to set up kitchen gardens, enhancing food security and nutrition. Led by women and supported through trainings and local bio-fertilizer production, the initiative promoted self-reliance, shared produce, and strengthened community resilience across rural Gujarat.
